I am 29 years old. i have been watching your movies since i was a child. my favourite movies from your production house are SILSILA, KABHI KABHI AND LAMHE... others also are good but those r my favourites. i always watch them atleast once a year and i always like your music. its always good but this time in VEER-ZAARA... HAD KAR DI HAIN AAPNE. i heard these songs 15 times in last two days... can you believe that?

And Yashji, please try to make a movie every two years... yeh 7 - 8 saal ka intezar nahi hota humse... LONG LIVE YASHRAJ!

- ALI MOMIN (ATLANTA, GA, USA)

Thank you very very much for the enchanting music of VEER-ZAARA... I do not have words to describe the music of veer-zaara. It's actually very very difficult to rate the songs... they are unrateable... absolutely melodious... the best music from yash raj films ever... the music is going to create a history... will break all the records... The Late Madam Mohanji has done a great job... None of the modern generation music directors could have created this magic... the voice of latadidi is something which I am not able to describe in words... I would strongly suggest to add the two ghazals also in the movie... that will definately add fragrance to the flower... It's one of the all time best albums I have ever bought... Once again thank you very very much for this beautiful compositions... May GOD bless you and your family and all the persons attached with yashrajfilms... Yashuncle and Aditya get your suit stitched... all Movie awards and national award are waiting for you...

- Manav M. Choksi (New Jersey, USA )

Just caught a glimpse of the promo on television. Yash Ji knows where to pull the strings. The melodies just reach out deep inside, while being light and yet on the surface. Cannot wait to get the album. This is not the first time it has happened. This has happened before... Darr, Dilwale..., Dil To... The music is bound to haunt me for some time now...

- Prakash Sastry

The Music is stunning, its 12:16 am and I am listening to "jaane kyon", what a splendid performance. Lata ji sounds divine. Congratulations to Yash Raj films for creating a music history. Please include this song in the film.

- Gaurav [New Delhi]

THANK YOU so much for the lovely music of VEER ZAARA. It is the best music i have heard in my life. And thank you so much for releasing the HUM TUM DVD in India, more importantly the same version as released in U.S. with extras and special features, please continue this practice for future movies too and also the other movies in the yash raj home entertainment library. THANK YOU.

- Taran Singh (Pune, India)

When I heard about a new movie from Yash Chopra I got so excited. Then I heard that the CD was coming out I didn't even care who was in the movie I just went straight to the CD store that sells only original CD's and DVD's (one of the few left) and bought it. What a wonderful surprise hearing that the movie starred Shahrukh Khan and Preity Zinta. Right when I got home I didn't even do my homework, I just popped the CD in the CD player and listened. For a whole hour it felt like I was flying and seeing all of India without leaving my home. It was wonderful; Madan Mohan is in a class on his own, just the way he thought of all this music on his own is inspirational and incredible. Ever since last Friday, I have been listening to the CD everyday. It is the one thing I look forward to after a long day of school. This music is so different from what I have heard before and it's just heavenly. Thank you so much,Yashji, and keep making everyone in the world happy and a little less worried about what they'll need to do in the next day or two.

- Suzanne Samujh (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada)

I am great fan of music. I heartily thank yash raj music for creating good musical songs like dhoom, hum tum and now veer-zaara. The "tere liye" song in veer-zaara is heart touching. Thank you.

- Venkatesh (Bangalore, India)

i'm a big fan of Indian movies in general... but so far i'm very excited about Veer-Zaara, and i haven't ordered the music but heard of demos... and so far... i like what i'm hearing... especially Tere Liye... of course it's the main song... but just wanted to drop by and share my comments... i'll be looking forward to the movie very soon... thanks.

- AASIM IQBAL SAEED (KARACHI, PAKISTAN)

Yash ji.. I have just purchased the Audio CD.. it was also a honour for me because this time it was on yash raj music for the first time distribution in India .. which was previously available for HUM TUM & DHOOM in offshore only... The Music of VEER-ZAARA is truly fantastic, and little bit different in composition pattern from all previous yash raj music albums... but I felt a deep pain when i saw that VEER-ZAARA copied and written MP3 selling on the footpath... please do something to stop... we feel very angry when i saw this kind of activities specially with yash raj venture... there must be some way to secure the CD to be not copied on any other media... All the best for this movie.

- Rohan Rajan (Bhopal, India)

Any film made under the YRF banner has got me running to the cinema but any film by Mr. Yash Chopra himself, (if it were possible) i would probably be sitting in the cinema a day early! i cant say how badly i want to see this film, every time i see the advert on TV i just blast the volume and sit on the floor with my face almost touching the screen. Can't wait!

- Sanitta (Bedfordshire-UK)

Before I bought the Veer Zaara CD, I had no idea... That an immortal magician was working his magic all over again, from the heavens... That, at 75, the greatest songstress the world has known could reach even greater heights... That, the most imaginative lyricist of our times could catch the spirit of a departed musician so effortlessly... That the man who has given Indian Cinema some of its richest moments, still wasn't done... That any music could bring tears of happiness in my eyes... Madan Mohan did it... Lata Mangeshkar did it... Javed Akhtar did it... Yash Chopra did it... And I wept happily...

Dear Yashji, First of all i owe you a great thank u to u for returning to direction after so many years!!! I have been a great fan of ur films from my childhoood & especially the music in your films is really heart melting with veer-zaara being no exception!!! The songs 'ye hum aagaye kaha' & 'Do pal' is in a different realm altogether!!!! Lataji sounds as if she is just debuted in film industry & madan mohan's lilting music is simply out of this world.

Right now i am in US doing my masters & heard your album today & it was so refreshing that i just couldn't restrain myself from writing this mail. I once again thank you for making this magnum opus which i am sure will break every possible record in Indian film industry & herez wishin you a great diwali release all the way from Detroit, USA.

- Vamsi

It is a pleasure to hear such a wonderful music like' VEER-ZAARA'. It touches our heart, whenever we hear it.

- arpita & archita datta

I believe that you should add one more Lataji's solo in the film and 'Jaane Kyon' is a gem so beautifully rendered that perhaps if the script allows would be perfect to film on Hema Malini. If not then somehow film it on Preity in a nice hill station amongst clouds. I do not understand why only one solo of Lataji is in the film that is 'Hum To Bhai'. Many fans have written that 'Jaane Kyon' is a gem of a song.

- Nazir Patel (Canada)

First of all congrats for the promo of veer zaara. it's brilliant, i personally adore it. it has the suspense to go to the theatre to see the film. the promos, the music, everything is brilliant.

- Suleman Babar (Rixensart, BELGIUM)

I have to place a request to Sir Yash Chopra. I recently listened to the songs of Veer-Zaara and no doubt they're absolutely remarkable. But i am sad as two of my most favorite songs in this album are not being picturized, which are 'janey kyun' and 'tum pas aa rahey ho'. I would like to request Yash uncle that please rethink about his decision and try including these in the movie or please make videos for them if he does not want to include them in the movie. Please do something about it Yash Ji.

- Ayesha Asghar

I wish you the best with Veer-Zaara when it comes out in Diwali, but I think that Yash Raj Films should consider making movies that spark a change in many individuals so they can not only better their own lives, but the lives of others. Waheguru!

- Jaspreet

Music that really does come once in a lifetime!! I have high expectations from this film, and after listening to the music they are beyond sky high!! But I am sure the film will meet my expectations!! After all it is Yash Chopra's film!! I am dying to see SRK and Preity again together!! They look great together!!

- Reema Dodia (UK)

I am very impressed with Veer-Zaara music, and very very good luck for the future...

- vishal mavani (botad, India)

I like veer zaara music very nice and ever lasting... Actually I have no exact words to explain my feelings about the music of Veer Zaara.. I hope All the music lovers like this music.. best of Luck for the movie.

- Jawad (Bahawalpur, Pakistan)

I personally rate the music of VeerZaara 10 out of 10. The best tracks are "Yeh Hum Aa Gaye Hain Kahaan", "Tere Liye", "Main Yahan Hoon", and "Kyon Hawa". The other bonus songs are also excellent. Music has never sounded so fresh and memorable. ALL THE BEST for the film.

- Rajveer Singh (Ludhiana, Punjab)

Veer Zaara's music is one of the best... that i have know from Yash Raj Films... Lata Mangeshkar's is the best.. her voice is very soothing and sweet... i just love all the songs.. and music itself is very nice. I think all the Madan Mohan songs should be recreated... Thanks for this wonderful CD... I was always fan of Lata Mangeshkar's songs and here is another one to add to my collection. All the good wishes to Veer Zaara... Good luck, no matter what others say about Veer Zaara but i am with it until the last moment.

- Dhruv (NY, USA)

Congratulations... narcissus yash ji. A§§alam-Alikum. A legend about love of fairy and angel "a love legend", eternal & haunting music of great effort, it is the best of the best we cannot say. we can not predict the talent genre of yash ji & aditya ji. The late madan mohan's music is elvysshe marvellous. all the songs of Yash Chopra's VEER~ZAARA r unforgettable and enhances the story of the legend. Lataji's voice is extremely nightingale for many many multi eons.

The song "Tere liye" when i heard for the first time, i feel accentuation that encapsulates the word legend to be best identified that enkindle the senses. it is the evidence of best direction and scripting. the unforgettable performances that will astonish the Bollywood industry for the eons. the poster of Yash chopra's VEER~ZAARA is completely of the abstract style. One wonders what the story of the film is. i like all the very very much.

The order in which I like the songs are main yahan hoon, yeh hum aagaey hain kahan, dheeray dheeray, tere liye, kyon hawa, do pal, hum bhai jaise, jane kyon, lodi, aaya tere dar par deewana. We are eagerly waiting for the release of the film this Diwali. More than that eagerly waiting the best of best performances by the elegant Shahrukh khan (veer) and the fairy Preity zinta (zaara). If there is a some magical & reality genre award for the eons, i will recommend lata ji a& jagjit ji. If there is a crown, i will recommend yash ji and aditya ji. if there is a true legendary lyric award i will recommend the talented Javed Akhtar saheb. In the end, i would like to say that.... though though... i am a Pakistani, not indian even then i like the song #11 aisa des hai mera. it deeply touches the patriotic conscience. i would like to buy the orignal DVDS of the movie once it is released.

- Haroon (Peshawar, Pakistan)

Heartiest congratulations on the launching of Yash Raj Music and your first presentation in the form of "Veer-Zaara". I will listen to this music and treasure for a long time to come. Kindly accept our warmest wishes for the continued success of Yash Raj Films and Yash Raj Music.

- Sarabjit Dhawan (Mumbai, India)

Having heard the buzz about the film for such a long time, I was looking forward to the music release. When I turned on my CD player and put in the CD, the hairs on my spine stood on end upon hearing track 1 - Tere Liye. The haunting melodies, and Lataji's voice had me hooked! As a 23 year old, I never had the pleasure of listening to the previous masterpieces by The late great Madan Mohan.

Yashji, you have done a great service to your country and all Asians around the world by bringing this masterpiece to our ears. We all pray and wish you well in that the release of the film is as greatly received as the music. We are forever grateful.

- Taher (Manchester, UK)

Yash Raj Films ROCK!! I'm not kidding. Actually I never watched Hindi films until about 5 years back and now I'm addicted. I don't even know hindi however subtitles in english are a huge help. The magic that Mr. Yash Raj makes with his films cannot be matched. He truly is a master in his art. Just want to say thanks for sharing your talent with the world.

- Sharda

The music of Veer-Zaara is magical. I bet the "Tere Liye" track's gonna be an absolute buster. Hope it bags all the awards this year. Keep up the good work and thx for giving us such fabulous movies. Looking forward to the next one... Cheers!

- Prerrna

I have always loved Yash Chopra's movies, particularly the songs of his movies, but this time Mr. Yash Chopra, you have done it. You have brought together some of the greatest talents in Bollywood today and the past. First, you have the music of Madan Mohan (I try not use the "late" as I feel that with this album he is still here with us) whose soft slow music created the magic of the 60's and 70's.

Secondly (your biggest pillar) you have Lata Mangeshkar singing in the entire album (no sign of Alka, Kavita and others, which for once is nice for a change). It's amazing how she does it. I mean, after being in the music industry for over 6 decades, she still carries the dedication for music like she did when started. She has never disappointed the music lovers and maybe because of that she is still the Numero Uno (Nightingale of India). As Amitabh Bachchan once said, "A friend of mine in a neighbouring country once said to me, we have everything that India has, except for Taj Mahal and Lata Mangeshkar" And how true is that!

Third, you chose Javed Akhtar to replace your friend/lyricist Anand Bakshi (and I don't think that he let the late Anand Bakshi down at all) Javed Akhtar is amongst the greatest Lyricsts today in Bollywood. Both the lyrics and the melodies are instantly appealing and does not require you to utilize the "repeat button" in order to like the music, as it takes once to love each and every song in the album.

And last but not least, you brought together some of the greatest actors today (what a star cast) including Shah Rukh Khan-the badshah of bollywood, the ruler of bollywood, king of love movies, the greatest actor today. Then you have Preity Zinta who lately has been delivering more hits than one can count and last but not least you have Rani Mukherjee (my favorite) who is just so sweet and beautiful.

Now coming to the music, as we probably all know we each may have our favorites and I am going to name my favorites. The one that tops my list is "Aisa Des Hai Mera". The lyrics, a mix of Punjabi and Hindi, are ones that boast of pro-India sentiments and love for one's country. Udit Narayan dominates the track and conveys the sentiments very well. This song is my favorite because of two reasons (actually three when you count Lata, who's always my fav) one being the song carries a good message and second it is rendered by today's leading male playback singer Udit Narayan (whom I think suits Shah Rukh Khan more than any other singer). Second Song is "Yeh Hum Aa Gaye Hain Kahan", which can easily be said to be the best songs on the album! (I think many will agree). It is a romantic duet by Lata Mangeshkar and Udit Narayan (who always seem to create magic be it Mohabbatein, Dil to Pagal Hai, DDLJ, or Darr) The music has been arranged beautifully to combine a classical feel with a more contemporary sound without being loud. (Great Job Sanjeev Kohli!)

And Third "Main Yahan Hoon" sung by Udit Narayan, who always manages to do a wonderful job with any song he is given. It is a solo effort by Udit Narayan whose vocals I hope will provide the voice for SRK on screen (And again, a good choice for Shah Rukh Khan).

I think that about does it for me. The rest of the songs are still great and to some may choose them to be their favorites. I really liked Do Pal but I think the singer didn't do much justice to the song as this was supposed to have been an Udit Narayan or Kumar Sanu Song (who has not sung for Yash Raj Films since DDLJ) I think for one Sonu is still young and second to convey such feelings you need a mature singer who has been around for a while, don't get me wrong, I think Sonu is a great singer, but not to fit a big star like Shah Rukh, although lately it was surprising to see him sing the title songs for Both (blockbusters) Kal Ho Naa Ho and Main Hoon Na.

If I could ask you to please forward my gratitude to everyone involved in this project and doing their best to bringing us (music lovers) this wonderful Album. It offers everything for everyone ranging from the past to the present. This is what you call "knowing music". Yash Chopra always had a good taste when it came to the music department, and he didn't let us down this time as well. As a loyal fan for Yash Chopra, Lata Mangeshkar, Udit Narayan, Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee, I will only watch this movie in the theatres (hopefully a few times). Good luck, and God Bless you all.

- Ahmed Ali (USA)

The music of VEER-ZAARA is just amazing. Its probably the best music ever recreated. The CD 2 shows the amount of hard work and effort put by Yashji, Lataji, Javedji, Mr Kohli and their whole team, who have really done very commendable job. Had Late Mr. Madan Mohan been alive today, he would have been the happiest person on earth. There is no doubt that Yashji will also recreate his magic after 7 years.

- Sen

The Music is amazing! Not even one song lets you down. Madan Mohan's music with Sanjeev Kohli's recreation is absolutely wonderful. This was the music we needed in our life. The tunes and lyrics are out of this world. Lata is as usual the Queen of Melodies. I still can't decide which song i love the most. I've memorized all the songs and tunes already. If Veer-Zaara doesn't get the Filmfare, then what will?
