A presentation by his son, Sanjeev Kohli who takes us on a journey through the timeless music of his legendary father, while also sharing many personally witnessed moments with Madanji and his various colleagues of the golden era.

Event organized by Stellar Events and Rotary Bengaluru Disha, in aid of Paediatric Thalassemia Care and supported by Bhoole Bisre Geet.

At the event, the Rotary Bengaluru Disha also honoured Sanjeev for his 45 years in the Music and Entertainment industry.

The show was much appreciated by the audience at Kassia Auditorium, just like the two other most recent shows in Mumbai and Pune.

We all have listened to Madan Mohanji's compositions for several decades but the intricate manner in which Sanjeev Kohli ji has knitted together his father's life experiences and presented it to the audience was mesmerising. It was a pleasure to attend Dil Dhoondta Hai ,the marathon recount of the musical journey of the Ghazal King Shri Madan Mohan by his son Shri Sanjeev Kohli. The first part comprising of around 100 odd songs of various genres was an absolute treat for retro lovers as it refreshed the memories of the songs from the yesteryears. The first part was so promising that we were eagerly waiting for the picture Abhi Baaki hai Mere Dost idiom to unravel. True to his words of staying at the crease and entertaining us as a prolific batsman, Shri Sanjeev Kohli has crafted a well paced Innings. One got to hear and see some rare visuals and emotional Insights and memories beautifully blended with the deep and profound voice of Sanjeev Kohli Ji. The tribute paid by the legendary singers and musicians is a proof of the musical prowess of Madan Mohan. The genre wise sorting of songs was a smart compilation. The trivia behind some of the songs and anecdotes narrated by Sanjeev Kohli Ji was well rehearsed and added value to the experience.. Last but not the least, the oratory skills and finesse with which this AV was made by blending the soulful musical tunes with the trivia behind some of the songs and anecdotes speaks volumes about the hard work and dedication put in by Shri Sanjeev Kohli ji. I am fortunate to have attended this program at Bengaluru.

“Woh Bhooli Dastaan Phir Yaad Aa Gayi “. The mesmerising music of Madan Mohanji and the Interactive session gave a glimpse of his life. The anecdotes and struggles were very heart touching. Sanjeev Kohliji with respects to his father has taken lot of efforts in making his memory come alive.

One of the most impactful and memorable evenings, "Dil Dhoondta hai". As we sat in the auditorium unaware of what was to come, Sanjeev Kohli ji swept us off our feet into a world of timeless classics and nostalgia. Although I dont belong to that era, I have grown up listening to songs of the retro era. It is only later on in my life that I realized that all my favourite songs were Madan Mohan ji's compositions! So, for me, it was an evening that brought me to tears several times. An overwhelming documentary followed by an interview with audio visuals which was executed with pin point precision by Sanjeev ji, while still upholding the narrative and emotions! Words fail to express the joy of this unique show.
