Madanji had a musically marvelous year in 1964. He had 8 releases and each of the films had a memorable score. each very different from each other, with a variety of songs, many of which are still loved.
These 8 films of 1964 included SHARABI which starred Dev Anand and Madhubala, most sought after stars of their time. However, since it was started in early 60s but got delayed due to financial difficulties, it was not well received when released.
The solos by Rafi Saab were the highlight of the film. Madanji’s most personal favorite was the song, ‘Sawan Ke Mahine Mein’ which he often sang for friends when requested at social get-togethers.
