By 1957, Madanji was being accepted as a talented composer.
Madanji’s songs in the 50 were appreciated and became popular too, but big-time success still eluded him. It was in the 60s that he got more recognition and status as a composer to reckon with.
In 1961, came SANJOG, produced by Om Prakash, directed by Pramod Chakravorty with lyrics by Rajinder Krishanji and starring Pradeep Kumar, Anita Guha, Shobha Khote and Rajendra Kumar, apart from Om Prakash himself. The film did not succeed but the songs are still remembered. The film had a variety of songs, including some that are loved till today.
