Madanji had a musically marvelous year in 1964. He had 8 releases and each of the films had a memorable score. Each very different from each other, with a variety of songs, many of which are still loved.

Among the 8 films of 1964 were two family dramas. one of which was POOJA KA PHOOL which starred Dharmendra with Mala Sinha and Nimmi. It was an AVM film, a remake of one of their Tamil films. It is best remembered for the Lataji solo, ‘Meri Aankhon Se Koi Neend’. The song in which the sitar virtuoso, Rais Khan made his debut as a musician in films.
