With SANJOG in 1961, followed by MANMAUJI having much loved scores, it was ANPADH in 1962 that gave even more respect and acknowledgement to Madanji. The film starred Mala Sinha, Balraj Sahni and the upcoming young Dharmendra. It was directed by Mohan Kumar, who was a successful maker already. The film did reasonably well, but the music did even better. The 5 solos of Lataji all became popular. Two of them were recognized as some of the finest ghazals, weaved into the film in non ghazal situations and made many feel that Madanji excelled in this genre especially as a follow up to the ghazals in ADALAT earlier.
Madanji was nominated for the Filmfare Award for the first time, but lost out to the music of the film Professor.
