MILESTONE FILMS OF MADAN MOHANJI - AAP KI PARCHAIYAAN (1964)
Madanji had a musically marvelous year in 1964. He had 8 releases and each of the films had a memorable score. Each very different from each other, with a variety of songs, many of which are still loved.
One of the 8 films of 1964 was the family drama AAP KI PARCHAIYAAN which starred Dharmendra with the well-known Bengali actress Supriya Chowdhary, and was produced and directed by Mohan Kumar, who earlier directed ANPADH. This film had romantic songs, of which ‘Main Nigahen’ and ‘Agar Mujhse’ are much loved, as well as light songs like ‘Yehi Hai Tamanna’, these are appreciated even today. Unfortunately, the black and white film did not get much success as by then color films were the order of the day.
