TRIBUTES by fans on MADANJIs death anniversary

This year on Madanji’s death anniversary on 14 July particularly, we saw many admirers reaching out and sharing their admiration for Madanji… fans sent heartfelt messages, performers did online events, many wrote tribute articles.. Many wrote emails saying that during lockdown especially they had revisited Madanji’s songs and rediscovered so many gems.

Some of the tributes we shared in this section a few days ago. Below are some more tributes that we are sharing, with a feeling of immense gratitude to Madanji’s admirers.

TRIBUTE to MADANJI by SANJEEV SACHDEVA
Sanjeev Sachdeva, a very well known and accomplished musician from Bhopal, has been an ardent admirer of Madanji since many years. He specializes in the accordion.

On Madanji’s anniversary on 14 July, as a tribute, he performed NA TUM BEWAFA HO, the emotional song from EK KALI MUSKAYI (1968) originally sung by Lataji and written by Rajinder Krishan. It is worth a hear and watch, and can be seen from the following link: Click Here

 

TRIBUTE to MADANJI by SOULFUL SATURDAYS AT 8PM
Soulful Saturdays, a group of Music lovers, managed by Rajesh Subramaniam, paid a tribute to Madan Mohanji on 12 July at 8pm on their Facebook page.

 

MELANCHOLIC MELODIES OF MADAN MOHAN, a special tribute was streamed online, on 14 July, on YouTube.
Anchored excellently by Umesh Vyas, singer Prajakta Satardekar very commendably performed the melancholic songs of Madanji originally sung by Lataji.
